Hours & Visiting

The Goldsmith Chapel (the former convent chapel) is a site for community-wide adoration twenty-four hours a day, five days of the week.

Visit our chapel at any time during open hours. From 7pm to 7am, please ring the doorbell or use the code for access to the chapel.

Help us get our chapel open 24/7!

We need more weekly adorers to keep our chapel open 24/7. Can you help? You would be enthusiastically welcomed to commit to a particular hour of adoration each week.

What is Eucharistic Adoration? The Most Holy Eucharist is exposed and visible during adoration to provide the faithful with the opportunity to worship and pray directly before Christ, acknowledging Jesus Christ’s true presence. This act of adoration deepens one’s personal relationship with Jesus, allowing us to spend time in His presence, reflect on His love and sacrifice, and experience spiritual renewal. When we believe the Eucharist is the real presence of Jesus Christ, under the appearances of bread and wine, consecrated during the Mass, being able to come visit and adore Him is a beautiful gift!

What do you do in Eucharistic Adoration? - Upon entering, genuflect (kneel with both knees and make the sign of the cross) to acknowledge the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. - Consider bringing a Bible, rosary, journal, spiritual book. - Come prepared, but with an open heart. - Pray a Rosary. - Meditate on Scripture - Daily Readings: The USCCB releases the daily readings every day with added resources to enhance understanding of the subject content. - Prayers and Devotions: A lot of people like to do novenas, or other long-form prayers. Others like to say specific short prayers for something that is important to them. - Journal Your Thoughts: Write out prayers, reflect on your day, or note inspirations that come during your time in Adoration. - Vocal Prayer: Speak to Jesus aloud as if in conversation (if you are alone!). - Thank Him, express your struggles, or simply tell Him what’s on your mind. - Bring Spiritual Reading: Read books by saints or Catholic authors to deepen your understanding of the faith.

Why commit to an hour when it’s more convenient to just come wherever I want? Our chapel cannot be kept open without those who have committed to taking an hour. A volunteer must be there at all times while Jesus is exposed. This means that for every hour that we want to keep the chapel open, we need at least one volunteer present. If we want the faithful to be able to come and adore at any time, that’s a lot of volunteers needed (you’re needed!) to make that happen. In Adoration, Jesus is (exposed) in what is called a monstrance. He is exposed out of love for us, it is our duty not only to worship and adore, but also to make sure He is protected. We do not treat the Eucharist as just an object, but recognize Christ as truly present with us. Therefore, we do not leave Christ vulnerable and make sure He is properly attended at ALL times. For that reason, at least one person must be in the chapel while He is exposed. In the case of emergencies, there is a number to call at any time should the need arise.

Is it hard to get a sub if I cannot make it to my hour? Not at all! Before requesting help from the parish, we suggest asking a friend or two to cover your hour for you. Who knows, filling in for you might encourage them to get an hour for themselves! Substitute adorers are happy to help whenever you aren’t able to fill your hour. Text Mark Birrittella for a sub as soon as you know you need help finding one, 715-255-0188. Subs are often found even within an hour of when the request is sent.

In the evening and early morning hours, you can either ring the door bell or enter the code (available to regular adorers) to get inside.
